If Not Rahul Gandhi Then Who? Biggest Question For Congress.

credits-indiatoday

A good democracy demands good opposition. An opposition that keeps raising voices for the public. Alas! We don't have one. That is why we say that one of the greatest advantages BJP had in all elections was the lack of powerful opposition. There is a huge leadership crisis in Congress now. Does Congress not have any leader other than the Gandhis?
Bollywood might get short of illogical scripts, But the question is, whether Congress needs a new leader and who can that be? Well, Congress is the oldest party in India; there must be someone who can take its responsibility now! Today, we'll try to answer the most debated question, "If not Rahul, then who?".

IF NOT RAHUL THEN WHO?

There is a fuss among political parties ever since Rahul Gandhi has insisted on resigning from Congress President's post. BJP has spent billions on publicity, but all expenses together couldn't help it as much as Congress's helplessness did.

First Candidate, Mr. Manhoman Singh-  If he gets elected then BJP won't have to do anything to build a new narrative against him. Would his understanding of Economics appease voters to vote for Congress? I don't think so, because who cares about Economy today?  Candidate No 2 for Congress President is Kamal Nath- He's got all qualifications for a good leader: corruption allegations, own bastion, experience with riots and money. Of course, his son Nakul Nath has earned so much all by himself. And if money is a criterion, then how about Milind Deora?! The biggest excuse Congress had in this election was electoral bonds. Although, Mukesh Ambani had endorsed for one Congress candidate, Milind Deora. "Milind is the man for South Mumbai." Though he clarified that he was only supporting one candidate and not his party. We know that Milind Deora lost the election even after all the publicity and support but he's got some talent. And if Congress needs talents then Sachin Pilot can also be a good option. He's young, popular and well respected. So maybe Sachin Pilot can help Congress to regain its stature in politics. The next in the list of young and talented leaders is Jyotiraditya Scindia. Royal blood, "youth icon", and a dynast. BJP can also reuse his dynast narrative! Another royal and powerful candidate can be Captain Amrinder Singh. Army veteran Amrinder Singh has already won Punjab for Congress, who knows he may win the whole country too?! And when he will question the government policies in parliament, BJP can't say: "Our soldiers are fighting for our country.." Because then he can say, "I am a soldier too." He is a nationalist and has led the Indo-Pak war too. He is both, royal as well as army personnel. One also needs a funny president who keeps us entertained. And one also has to compete with BJP in their poor economy remarks. So the next candidate in the list is P. Chidambaram. When he will be questioned for poverty, he would argue that when people are buying ice cream for Rs.20, where is poverty! He's also been alleged for corruption, He's very sensitive too, got emotional at the CWC meeting. See, whatever the result may be, entertainment shouldn't be compromised. Congress is already a joke now, so Siddhu can also be considered a good choice. He has also got the experience of epic losses like Congress and when BJP leaders would ask him to "Go to Pakistan", he would be happy to go too.

CONCLUSION

So this is a list of candidates eligible for Congress presidency. What Congress actually needs today is a powerful rooted leader like Amit Shah. So choosing any of these won't make a big change in Congress's condition today they won't even get the opportunity to elect the leader of the opposition. Every political organization has a backup option, even BJP. But Congress has always promoted one family. Congress needs a leader other than the Gandhis. Our democracy needs a better opposition.
