Rajasthan Political Crisis: BSP issued instructions to vote against whip, Gehlot government

The political crisis in Rajasthan is taking a new turn. Six MLAs elected from Bahujan Samaj Party, which merged with Congress in August last year, issued a whip directing them to vote against the Gehlot government. The BSP ticket on which six MLAs were elected - R. Gudha, Lakhan Singh, Deep Chand, JS Awana, Sandeep Kumar and Wajib Ali.

The BSP instructed all of them to vote against the Congress during the no-confidence motion or any course of action during the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly session. Earlier, BSP chief Mayawati had fiercely targeted Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and demanded imposition of President's rule in the state. She accused Gehlot of abusing the anti-defection law and now tapping phones. It was also said that betrayal has been done continuously with BSP. He had said that there is a need to impose President's rule in the state so that democracy does not have any more predicament.

Mayawati had tweeted, stating that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the past violated the anti-defection law and betrayed it for the second time in a row to join the party MLAs in the Congress and now he apparently tapped the phone. Has done another illegal and unconstitutional work. Mayawati wrote in another tweet, thus the Governor of Rajasthan should take effective cognizance of the continuing political deadlock, mutual disturbance and conditions of government instability and recommend imposition of President's rule in the state so that democracy in the state There should be no more predicament.

Significantly, in Rajasthan, all the six MLAs of Bahujan Samaj Party had joined Congress. MLAs Rajendra Gudha (Udaipurwati), Jogendra Singh Awana (Nadabai), Wajib Ali (Nagar Bharatpur), Lakhan Singh Meena (Karoli), Sandeep Yadav (Tijara) and Deepchand Kheria (Kishangarh) were changed. In September last year, these MLAs announced to join Congress after meeting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
