Protests in America: The George Floyd case


The story starts when a 46 years old black Afro American named George Floyd was killed by a policemen in Minneapolis, Minnesota(USA). On May 25, 2020 George Floyd was caught for using a fake currency note in a shop, some 4-5 white policemen laid him down on the streets and then one of them put his knee on George's neck for 9 minutes and because of that George was able to breathe and ultimately he died as shown in the picture below

the picture and the case got viral throughout the nation which ended up in a in mass protest across the country and resulted as salt on the wounds of some black people too as we already know that America have had a dark history of slavery and color discrimination in the past.

in some parts of the country the protests even get violent also as some times the police got brutal with the protesters and sometimes the protesters started getting offensive with the police as shown in the picture

Also, there were some criminals also entered the protests and in the name of George's justice they started looting the shops and showrooms of big brands in between the protests, some big brand stores like Apple, Louis Vuitton, Nike were also looted

It's been a month now that the protests started but on the other hand the Republican government seems to be not worried about the situation at all, neither they are controlling the protesters they are even making the situation worse like on 2nd June when President Trump was willing to go to the St Johns church for a photo shoot with a bible for that he made the protesters beaten up by the cops so that route can get cleared

Till now the FIR is filled against all the policemen involved in Georges death, Derek Chauvin the police who put his knee on Georges neck has been charged with second-degree murder. He was initially charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter - two charges he still faces.
